An unforgettable engagement story in Brookings, Oregon

 

Nestled in the southernmost corner of Oregon’s rugged coastline lies the charming town of Brookings—a hidden gem where dramatic cliffs meet misty forests and the Pacific Ocean puts on a show of its own. It's a place where love stories come to life, and on this particular day, I had the honor of documenting one that took my breath away.

 

What started as a simple couples session turned into something truly magical. The plan was to explore the coast and create some beautiful, natural portraits—but what she didn’t know was that he had a surprise tucked away in his pocket the entire time.

 

Their destination: Cape Ferrelo, one of the most scenic coastal viewpoints in Southern Oregon. As the waves crashed far below and the skies grew moodier by the minute, he dropped to one knee surrounded by scattered rose petals. And just like that, a quiet coastal walk became the moment they’d remember for the rest of their lives.

 

Through laughter, shock, and a few tears, she said yes. A rainbow even peeked through the clouds as if the coast itself was celebrating with them.

We spent the rest of the evening capturing their newly engaged joy—kisses in the rain, wind-whipped hair, and golden hour light pouring through thick clouds. It was moody, cinematic, emotional… and so incredibly them.
